Gant Travel Launches Virtual Card Automation

Gant Travel Launches Virtual Card Automation

BLOOMINGTON, IN, April 13, 2017 – Gant Travel Management, a leading travel management company in support of the Concur user, announces a virtual card program that allows Gant’s travelers to harness the benefits of virtual payment cards.

Gant Strategic PaySM places a virtual payment card number into travel reservations via Concur’s mid-office quality management software and a deep integration with Conferma’s payment systems. This ensures travelers have an active virtual card for payment application when and where they need it for either Concur Travel or agent created bookings.

“The application of virtual payment cards is ripe for automation. By integrating the process at the mid-office level, we are seeing a new level of simplicity, security, and scale in the payment process. Our travelers can now use virtual cards with a new level of ease and confidence knowing the coordination is automated,” says Patrick Linnihan, Gant’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are very optimistic that this new tool will become the standard in the application of virtual payments in business travel. This tool is independent of agent intervention and completely integrates into Concur Travel and Expense, which is extremely important since our client’s Concur Travel adoption rates are north of 80%.”

A key advantage of Gant’s new tool is the ability to set policy to automatically request and apply a virtual card to different types of corporate travelers and trips; the traveler does nothing different from how they normally book a trip, yet Gant Strategic PaySM will automatically apply the virtual card. This allows travel managers to use a rules-based approach for virtual payment cards, even for hotel payments. This feature makes Gant’s Strategic Pay perfect for non-employee travel (such as new hire candidates) or groups of travelers inside a company where they do not want the charges to go on individual credit cards. Simon Barker, CEO of Conferma said: “Gant Travel is committed to providing world class TMC services for the Concur T&E user and we share their passion for greater efficiency within the corporate travel payment processes. Our partnership will enable Gant`s customers to benefit from Conferma’s global payment ecosystem which supports virtual cards issued in over 40 currencies across 197 countries. In recent years, we have seen the T&E payments space being disrupted predominantly by the virtual card. Integration with Gant is another key step in building this momentum.”

The ecosystem partners of Concur and Conferma power the program and provide features that will drive traveler satisfaction, such as redundant hotel notifications and a mobile app for traveler self-help should any issues occur on the road. The process supports the application of numerous banking partners as well.

Gant Travel helps its clients control the expense and the experience of business travel. Gant provides advanced technology, processes, and highly trained people to coordinate business travel properly. Gant is striving to become the best TMC on the planet for the Concur user.
